Janine Peel - Operations Manager - BDO
Janine's Biography
I am currently the Operations Manager for BDO Birmingham, having worked with them for nearly 17 years, working my way up from PA, Senior PA and now Operations Manager, working predominately within Corporate Finance.
As Operations Manager, I am responsible for managing strategy, operations, facilities, property, processes and the Business Continuity plan for the Birmingham office. I also head up the business support and operations team, making sure the office operates efficiently and is client focused, development of staff and service providers and introduce standards, practises and processes necessary to achieve objectives whilst managing implementation and change.
I have been part of a number of PA forums over the years, which I really struggled with, and I can honestly say the BIRMINGHAM PA FORUM has been one of the most supportive and enjoyable networking / learning groups. I have made some great friends/acquaintances, from all industries, who I am not afraid to ask for guidance/advice, which has been a huge benefit from this group. The BIRMINGHAM PA FORUM, not only provides excellent networking opportunities but educational in areas that are relevant/ important to our roles, which for me is a bonus and keeps me up to date with initiatives I would potentially not get to see.

Jane's Biography
Being part of the Birmingham PA Forum has been a great experience for me. It has given me the opportunity to develop my skills and knowledge, sharing best practice with like-minded people from a range of business sectors locally to me.
As a member of the committee, I feel very proud of what the Forum has achieved, and how we are raising the profile of the PA in our region – the Birmingham PA Awards in July this year demonstrated this superbly. The Forum is the perfect way to build strong business relationships, and develop new friendships, in a relaxed environment, whilst benefiting from a wealth of experience from both its members and speakers.
